General Information

Objective
‍Provide partners with a deep understanding of the best ways to extend Business Central, from the rich ecosystem of ISV offerings available via Microsoft AppSource, to first-party and third-party agents, to connection/integration approaches (e.g., MCP server, APIs) to Power Platform and targeted development of PTEs (per tenant extensions).

Topics covered

  • Discuss the range of options for extending Business Central in order to meet customer requirements; Understand considerations and trade-offs so partners can put forth the best option for prospective customers.
  • Review requirements/use cases that often necessitate ISV usage; Discuss approach to identify, vet and incorporate ISVs into the overall solution.
  • Understand Microsoft’s “first-party” agents (e.g., Sales Order Agent) and options for building agents via Microsoft’s agentic frameworks; Understand considerations and trade-offs.
  • Evaluate options for connecting and/or integrating Business Central with external agents or applications via MCP server, APIs, etc.; Understand considerations and trade-offs.
  • Discuss considerations for PTE development.
